Mike came from
England in 1966 to work for the Boeing Company. He was an avionics
engineer on the 747-airplane flight test program. During the
downturn at Boeing in the early ‘70s, when they were ‘turning out
the lights’ in Seattle, Mike started his own real estate business
and became a real estate broker in 1971.
He was a founding
member and the first president of CIBA (now CBA), the commercial
brokers association in 1977. In 1980 he was president of the Renton
Multiple Listing Service (REMI) before the combination of all the
original MLSs created the present NWMLS.
Mike started
appraising for HUD, Region 10 in 1986, became a State Certified
Appraiser in 1992 and has been an independent appraiser and
consultant ever since.
He began visiting
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2002 and created some of the earliest
condo market data from that region. This led to further appraisal
and consulting assignments for both Mexican and American Clients in
other Mexican Riviera resort areas from Barra de Navidad to Punta
Mita. (requires activeX)
Mike is licensed
in Oregon and Washington states.
